Uniforms question

In OOTP 15, the jerseys are shown, but in what seems to be a very limited format (aka, you only see the top part of the jersey), unless you're looking at the whole thing in the Logo/Colors editing screen. In 16, will there be displays that maybe go down to just above the waist? Seems like Side Panels are totally pointless because they never are displayed, even though they are pretty cool looks on a jersey. Also, it seems pointless to add side Patches because they're never seen.
This isnt a big deal, and maybe I'm missing something, but I was wondering the reason that we could edit the whole jersey but only the top half and straight on view would be represented? Thanks.

This is a very good question. I have been playing OOTPB 15 so long with the same settings that I did not know the answer to this until I went to look.

The setting below will change how uniforms are displayed in news stories and certain displays such as the Team Home Page (e.g, the small pics for Top Prospects) but it will not change the head and shoulders shot used for the player profile.

That's the way it is in 15. I don't see it going backwards in 16 but perhaps we will see the setting apply to player profiles in the new version.

You can change it for profile as well.

You have 2 options there - one is 'facegen zoom", the other is for "profile picture zoom"

The 2nd one affects the display on the profile page, the 1st affects news stories.

Holy smokes! I missed that one, BN (despite being immediately underneath the setting I looked at). Man, I got to experiment a bit here and there to keep up with things.

Here's the thing with this, however. When I changed that setting, it did nothing to the current player profile pic. I had to go to the Editor tab and select Picture Functions and Same Picture to "back the picture out" and show more uniform. That setting seems to apply to new pictures and editing existing ones but will not reset old pics.

It won't replace existing profile pics. So if you change it, you have to do the "same picture" option, or use the update all player pics option in game setup.

Any pics already created under the previous setting are still used, since the file name doesn't change, only the view.

I always set mine at league creation, but have forgotten the odd time. If I do forget, I use the "update profile pics" option and just get them all done at once.

I swear, I could play the same version of OOTPB (let alone each new version) for the next 10 years, and visit these forums every day during that time, and I'd still be learning new things a decade from now!

Thanks for the information. I thought I was missing something, and yep I forgot to look in settings. It still isn't exactly what I was getting at, but its a lot better! At least I can now see a fuller view of the jersey than before.

This discussion does bring up the question "Do player photo options need to be centralized". I know many players probably don't care, but for those that do, it would be a lot better if you could go to one screen and change everything that had to do with player photos.

It's still pretty cool that FaceGen is used. And that the player photos look quite sweet. From playing other basketball and football text sims, you were always stuck with no photos or choosing from a bunch of stock photos that just didn't give you many options. This is much cooler.

I'm sure this has been talked about, but will there be any options to add Long Hair to a player photo? That would take the cake. Doesn't even have to be many options, Long straight hair, long messy hair, medium hair (mullet), dreadlocks, rasta, and hair sticking out the front of the cap...not sure if theres any more that would need to be in there.

Nevermind on that which I've said above in the 2nd paragraph. I've found all the info on hair and the problems with FaceGen using it. So much to look through on here.
