Where to find OOTP15 files on Mac?

I downloaded OOTP15 from the Apple Apps Store on my MacBook Pro. I did not get OOTP14 this way so it was easy to find the location for those files. However, I have yet to figure out where my OOTP15 files are located.

With OOTP14, I just clicked "Go" and hit the "Option" button which unhide the "Library". That is where my OOTP14 files are located. However, when I downloaded OOTP15, my files are not in the Out of The Park Developments folder.

Does anyone know where I can find the 15 files? One of my online leagues upgraded from 14 to 15 and I cannot do anything with the league until I figure out how to get the league files into the correct spot.

Thanks,
Andy

I learned that you should never buy from the macstore if it's available elsewhere. The patches take forever to be approved.

go to your settings > troubleshooting > open folder for saved games.

It's in the hidden Library folder again. Seems to be put there about every other version.

In finder, hold down the option key while clicking on the Go menu, then you will see the Library folder.

Go>Library>Application Support>Out of the Park Developments>OOTP Baseball 15

Using OS 10.9.4

What JPeters said is correct for the Mac App Store version of the game, which puts the files in a different spot than the one noted by 7mart7 -- use 7mart7's instructions if you have the Mac version from anywhere *except* the Mac App Store.

Sorry, yes, that's confusing, but the difference lies in Apple's insistence on "sandboxing" apps and making files live in specific places for reasons I don't fully understand. (But I only got as far as simple programs in BASIC on a TI computer in the early 80s, so my understanding of app development is very limited.)

I am bumping this because I have had issues with OOTP 15 from the Mac App Store ever since I downloaded it, and I filed a support ticket and it never got resolved.

First, the game data is not in .../Library/Application Support, it is in:

.../Library/Containers/com.ootpdevelopments.ootp15macappstore/Data/Library/Application Support/Out of the Park Developments

This would not be a problem in itself, but I can never navigate folders. For example, when I select my external hard drive through the game, I can't see either of the two main folders. Also, when I try to create a folder in the root of my external drive, it says the folder can not be created in that location. In fact, I can't navigate or see any files unless they are somewhere inside my Applications folder. This makes the game virtually unplayable as I can't convert OOTP 14 games, and I can't select mods from within the game.

I have had this issue ever since I downloaded the game from the App Store.

Does anyone have any idea why this is occurring or any way to fix it?

Sorry for the delay responding to this.

I use a Mac, so I have some familiarity with this. OOTP has an option in the main menu to open the saved games folder, which I believe is set to the proper path in the Mac App Store version (as opposed to using the Mac version we sell).

Are you trying to keep your saved games and other OOTP folders on an external hard drive? It seems that it would be simpler to keep them on your Mac's local hard drive.

I haven't checked this thread in a while, but yes, that it was I am trying to do. I also downloaded OOTP 16 from the Mac App Store, but again, I can't change the file location to an external hard drive. It seems OOTP can't read or write anywhere outside of a specific location. I looked this up, and it is called "sandboxing". Is there any way to remove these sandbox restrictions so that one can actually use files from other locations?

EDIT: I think I was able to fix this problem by manually removing the sandbox from the application. I can view files across the entire system, but I have yet to see if I can do anything.

EDIT 2: I was able to successfully convert a OOTP 14 game to a 15 game, which I wasn't able to do before. I do not personally recommend the solution as it involves something I am probably not allowed to discuss on this forum.
