Hi Guys...

Someone the other day stumbled across something I thought you would pick up on, but no-one did, see here:

Ever since the first beta build there have been four hidden cookies or easter eggs in the game. While I was developing the game I experimented with some new ideas that did not work as well as I had hoped. So rather than delete them I just turned them off. They can be turned back on by hidden controls, can you find them?

Num	What does it do?	How is it activated?	Who found it?	Notes
1	Text to speech on commentry	?	Speck & ?	Linux Only - See below
2	Black and White fights	Type old during a fight	javier_83
3	Fighters Moving around ring	Type move during a fight	Mark42661
4	Linux Mascott RCG	Type tux during a fight	Mark42661

NOTE: one of the 3 cookies is Linux only, the others work on all systems. This is purely because I did not want to waste precious development time on a feature I did not think worked very well...

I see mention of a couple features (displayed along with text to speech, if that gives a hint) that don't seem to work in TBCB. There are also some other platforms listed, but I'm not sure if that's related to TBCB or just part of the development environment (maybe for another game?). Then there's something related to what many people read daily in the newspaper.

I could list these, but I'll wait to see if others find the same (I could be on the wrong track as well).

I think your talking about other dependencies.. In which case they are not related to the cookies above. All of these cookies are during a fight....

Do PM me what you have spotted as I am very intrigued...

The fight commentary is spoken back to you. It did not work very well so I did not waist time getting it working on Windows or Mac...

ok, this thread has been idle for long enough now... I will throw you all a bone... All the cookies are on the fight screen and your turn them on or off by typing something on the keyboard... Now thats a massive push in the right direction, over to you guys...

I just knew you would like the b/w matches... I would hate to accuse you of being predictable, but you were very much in mind when I decided to make it a cookie!

Figured out how to get the fighters to move around the ring. I like it!

i spent the last 2 hours trying to find out the Black and White fights and i did it

i have both!!

can we have a little clue about the last one to know what to search??

I have just spent well over an hour trying to find anything and have come up empty. I am frustrated enough to take up boxing for real!

When you find them do share... The first post with the solution will get the credit!

Once you turn a cookie on it is saved in the config file so it says on until you turn it off...

Oh and a hint for cookie four: "mascot" (is that cryptic enough?)

Ok, here's #4. On the fight screen, if you type the word "tux" on your keyboard (without the quotation marks), Tux the Linux penguin will appear in the middle of the ring holding a sign indicating which round number is next.

Here's #3. During the fight, if you type the word "move" on your keyboard (without the quotation marks), the fighters will move around the ring during the action.

I'll let Javier reveal #2 since he found it first.

Cookie #3 is actually pretty cool. I like it and don't think it it'd be a bad idea at all to make it the default way of showing the ring animation.
