24T 2S 3D 4T 162 Game Request

Looking for a schedule for a 24 team league over 162 games. 2 subdivisions with 3 divisions of 4 teams in each subdivision.

If possible, I'd like 14 vs your own division, 10 and 8 versus the 2 divisions in your subdivision, with that rotating yearly, and 4 versus each in the other subdivision, with it being 2H/2A.

So 14*3, 10*4, 8*4 (rotating yearly), 4*12 with the home and away split evenly.

All-Star game in early to mid July.

Either my original suggestion or a 14*3, 9*8, 4*12 would do. The 9*8 would still need to rotate for H/A purposes.

I tried doing 8 and 10 games in Inter-Division and It was not working. But having 9 games (3-3//3 or 3//3-3) works really well. So I made 2 Schedules (one is the mirror image of the other one to equilibrate the Inter-Division matchups). I have tested them and they seems to run fine. Here are the details about them:

# 24 team schedule, 162 games
# Designed for the following configuration:
# 2 subleagues, each with 3 divisions,
# subleague divisions with 4 teams
#
# Subleagues
# 14 games against other 3 teams in division (4-3H/4-3A)
# 9 games against other 8 teams in league (3-3H/3A or 3H/3-3A)
# 4 games against all 12 teams in other league (2H/2A)
#
#
# No cases of more than 13 straight days without offday
#
# No homestands or roadtrips longer than 13 games
#
# Game times set at 7:05pm 1:05pm 2:05pm 4:05pm with One Sunday game at8:05pm
#
# Season begins last Thursday on or after March 28
# Season thus ends late September/early October
#
# All-Star Game set for Tuesday of 15th week of season (early/mid-July)
#

Hey. Appreciate what you're doing again. This has been a big help.

However, noticing that in both versions, we have 2 teams that have 84/78 home and away split and 2 teams with a 78/84 home and away split. Anyway you can fix that, please?

Just to show you what I see when I run the evaluation. Off days and everything else look good. The other option has the issue with Buffalo instead of Charm City.

I am busy this week end but early next week I will look into it. It should be an easy fix.

I was curious to see what the issue was, so I went under the hood and it was a fairly simple fix. The process was the same for both versions of the schedule. Here's my changelog:

Days 2-4: reversed home field for a series between team 2 and team 5
Days 9-11: reversed home field for a series between team 3 and team 5

That resolves subleague 1 - teams 2 and 3 were the teams affected, and it was a difference in their out-of-division games. Team 5 looked like the one that was out of whack so I made these changes.

Days 20-22: reversed home field for a series between team 14 and team 17
Days 163-165: reversed home field for a series between team 15 and team 17

Same story here, except I had to go to different parts of the calendar. That resolves subleague 2.

I went back to my excel spreadsheet and I found what was wrong. There was a little more than what Ruwisc found but his correction resolved the issue. And with the correction, the schedules still keep their characteristics.
