Jim Unknowns being saved to database following this week's patch

I run an online league, and we utilize ghost players for our winter league. Since the patch this week, I have noticed that Jim Unknowns are being written to our database for the previous two sims. In total we now have about 2,600 extra player lines in the database for these ghost players, with about 1,300 being added per sim (Tuesday and Wednesday we simmed).

In game, these only appear in you type "Jim Unknown" into the player search bar at the top of the UI.

Clicking one of these players brings up their player profile.

However, when going to the roster, they do not appear there, nor do they appear in the Player Search and Shortlist section of the game that lists out every non-retired player in the game.

Again, this only started after we patched OOTP20 this week. We had been using ghost players in our league in OOTP20 fine until the patch happened.

Doing more testing, a GM can move them to a different minor league team and they show up on the rosters there.

Can you send me a link to your league file? Would love to have a poke to see what might be going on there.

Hopefully the patch will be soon. Jim Unknown's are building up more and more each sim and making the file larger and larger.

I don't get why sometimes they are attached or staying attached to a team. Maybe this is part of the issue.
I have a AAA team, they have 30/30 real guys on their team, but they still have 20 Jim Unknown's tied to their roster.
Why?
They have every position covered by real players on their roster, so why are ghost players needed on a team like this?

If guys need to delete the Jim Unknowns

Deleting Unknowns, by using a clickable list

Click on your Leagues menu at top/middle of game.
Go to Reports/Info, List all XXX Players
Now, click on Filter
Choose customize
Check the box, choose Name in the drop down, instead of is, choose contains
Type unknown in the box, hit ok
You will have a blank list.
Now under XXX Player list, you have 2 check boxes
Check "Include Minor Leaguers" and "Include Retired Players"
They will now all show.

You can then click them all with one button, right click and choose delete players
scroll up and down and make sure it is all the players you want.
Once you select them all, it tells you on the bottom right how many you have.
My league only had 138, but another commish of another league I am in, his league had 26k of them.
