Cy Slapnicka - 1911
Played 18 seasonsin Major and Minor Leagues.
His two MLB seasons were 7 years apart (1911 and 1918)
Was then a scout for the Cleveland Indians and signed Bob Feller
and Bob Lemon among others,.also served as GM for the Indians.
He didn't retire from scouting until 1961, 55 years after his first minor league season.
Odd minor league team names are not a new idea, some of the
of the teams Cy played for include the Marshalltown Brownies,
Hannibal Cannibals, Muscatine Pearl Finders, Cedar Rapids Rabbits
and Vicksburg Hill Billies.
Its a bad picture but a good background story

When I did a search for 1913 Milwaukee Brewers to get the uniform colors
I stumbled across a nice team shot which was which contained the
Slapnicka image above as well as an actual 1913 Brewers jersey.. I preferred this somwhat larger crop.
Its nothing great but much better than the one I had originally done.

I'm doubtful that your second attempt represents Salveson, much as I hate to be critical. He only played for the team in 1935 and they used a much different uniform than what is depicted.
I have attached 2 photos of Salveson as a White Sox player that might work well for colorization.

As to the correct ID, UK and myself suspect it may be Johnny Humphries circa 1943. I have included a photo of him for argument's sake.

On the positive side, and not being a fan of colorization, I find your work to be very lifelike and impressive.
