How to feed into the MLB?

This is a longshot and something id like to possibly do with a fictional league.

Basically id like to setup a MLB Europe as such, but I want the teams to be independent entities, yet benefit from a supply of players who are either struggling in the American system or need a few at bats to get healthy.

I suppose the easiest way to look at it, is like the Football (soccer) loan system. Many teams will own a player but loan him out for a season to get experience or just to get him off their books for a spell.

In setting up a new league and a bunch of new teams, how do I link them to the current MLB structure to allow players to freely move around (as much as they can do in Baseball) and in the main, see the odd MLB star have a stint in Europe and then vice versa, any home grown talent from Europe maybe head over to a MLB franchise to get a shot in either the Majors or Minors.

Im assuming this is too much for the game to understand, but id love to get as close to doing it as possible.

not quite understanding what you mean. So there are a few ways but I can tell you right now they will not address 100% what you are looking for.

1. The closest thing to a "loan" system is setting up a winter league (doesn't have to be in the winter) where your league will draw from whatever league you assign it to be the feeder. The AI can pick the players and assign them to teams or you can do this manually. It's meant for the winter league to run in the main league's offseason because I think if your mean league starts their season the winter league stops I think and all the players go back "home". When the new season starts the winter league teams are all blank again so it's not truly a regular league although records and team history are kept.

2. You can also just setup a regular free agent system where players can go to Europe and play but you have to set it up correctly so players know who the main league is and who the secondary league is through league reputation and financials. Players aren't loaned at all they switch teams but it does work well and you'll see has beens go to the lesser league and you'll lose top talent to the major league during free agency.

What OOTP does model fairly well not 100% but close is the pro/rel system. I love the one I modified from the pro/rel quickstart that comes with the game.
