macbook problems?
OK, I had started a thread earlier in the week in regards to 3D animation suddenly having all kinds of problems after starting a new game. Since, I tried everything I could think of, and that was suggested, to fix the problems, such as reinstalling the 20.5.52 update, force reinstalling game data, completely unlicensing and uninstalling OOTP20 and doing a new download and installation. Nothing helped. Finally, I downloaded and installed the game on a Dell desktop at work - and the 3D animation works perfectly.
So, I have decided the problem must lie with my Macbook, for whatever reason. I have a 2015 Macbook I have used since 2015 (upgraded to Mojave OSX) and have run every version of OOTP on it since purchasing it. I have never had any problems other than those that were common among the OOTP community and were addressed in updates. OOTP20 had worked fine, even since the last 20.5.52 update. Suddenly, when I started a new game Tuesday, much of the player movements in 3D were gone - pitchers arms don't move, bat doesn't move when batter swings, there are no motions by fielders, etc. The ball just seems to shoot out of the pitchers chest and bounce off the batter, etc. I have been told by one of the developers that it appears the 3D is not completing loading as it should(?). (The 3D is doing this in all past games I saved and any new ones I start) Anyway, I'm wondering if there are any here who use Macbooks and/or have Apple/Mac knowledge that might have ideas? I checked to make sure software updates are up to date (they are). Also, I have had Malwarebytes for the past year or so because I was hacked once. I thought that might possibly be interfering, although it never had before, so I turned it off, downloaded and installed the game again, and it made no difference. I'm stumped as to why the 3D quit working correctly while the game was open. Tuesday, I had used it during a morning break and everything was fine. Later in the day, the problems were there. Any ideas and/or help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Don't know if that's the issue, but it's something to try, at least?

Unfortunately, if something happened during that time, I'm not able to figure out how to correct the problem, even with uninstalls and reinstalls |

Geez, I wish I could help. Hopefully someone else can. I empathize with the frustration of issues that interfere with your game play that seem to happen only to you. I've had plenty of them, but unfortunately not the ones your experiencing, even though I am also on a 2015 Macbook.
So, sympathy not solutions. Best I can offer. Well wishes... cbbl

So, I think you are probably correct. Something happened during the time I had OOTP open on the computer between times actually using it. Dang if I know what that was though. Grrrr |
