Nov. 6, 1876: Philadelphia Athletics available
Greetings!
Vintage League Baseball has just completed its inaugural 1876 season -- in which we replay Major League Baseball dating back to the founding of the National League in 1876 -- and we have an opening for the general manager of the
Philadelphia Athletics.
Believe it or not, this is the first of what will ultimately be four incarnations of the Philadelphia A's. The team will be
"folding" and relocating after our next season of 1877.
The A's finished the '76 campaign tied for seventh in the National League with the New York Mutuals at 27-43 and the league's top first baseman in Levi Meyerle.
We are currently in the 1876-77 offseason, just completed our amateur draft and are gearing up for Season 2. Let me know if you're interested!
