Two people, same league, different countries?

Is it possible for two people living in two different countries to play a very, very stripped down basic MLB season together, picking one team each? We don't need to play like IP2IP at the same time, just the ability to both be playing in the same league as managers with the rest simulated by the game.

Is that possible at all?

of course! you are describing an online league. However, you will not be able to interact with the CPU teams in the same way as a solo league. For example, you can't shop players or offer the CPU a trade

Thanks for the answer!
Ok, well that's fine because I have no interest in having fantasy elements happen. Just opening day rosters all year.
However, should we choose to, would it be possible to make certain transactions in the league regardless of whether the team is human or cpu controlled? Like, let's say I just wanted to keep it roughly up to date with major moves?
And also, still not sure what happens when our teams face each other and how we share one league? The online servers do it automatically?

The online manual, http://manuals.ootpdevelopments.com/...online_leagues, will answer most of your questions about online leagues.

You will have a commish GM account in addition to your team accounts, which can be used to force any transaction you want.
