New 1990 Historical Sim

New historical league is open where we will be simming 7 days a night (Sun-Thurs). Beginners welcome.

Following MLB history with a couple of twists:
-3 Year Recalc is On
-8 teams in each league make playoffs every year to give everyone reason to stay interested
-All non-playoff teams are entered into an equal chance lottery to prevent tanking
-"NFL" based financial system with hard salary cap and 100% sharing of income so that all teams are on same financial ground each season. Much easier for beginners and prevents small market/big market disparities.

We currently have Philadelphia open in our first season (1990). We are a 3 year recalc league with some fun twists. Eight teams in each league make playoffs, we have a hard salary cap, and any team who misses playoffs has a 10% shot at the #1/2/3 pick.

Philadelphia recently drafted Bernie Williams in the rookie draft so you have a good young piece:

We are coming up on 1993 expansion. Current owners have left their teams to take on expansion, leaving Toronto open.

We are getting ready to start the off-season tonight. Blue Jays have Kirby Puckett on their squad, and took Brian Jordan 9th overall this past draft. We have another rookie draft for the 1993 class starting next week.

Latest opening is the New York Yankees. A bottom feeder early on, they've used the draft to get Mo Vaughn, Javy Lopez, Mike Hampton, and some other valuable role pieces.

Yankees are open again in 1994.

A lot of the hitters remain from 94 (Mattingly, Kelly, Polonia, Leyritz, O'Neill, Velarde, Duncan) and the team has a young Mo Vaughn, Mike Hampton, Javy Lopez, and Mark Loretta. DM please if interested.

Spot is still open. We have a great core of GM's (19!) who are still active since day 1. We have yet to miss a sim in 4+ seasons and all GM's actively export.

SF Giants are open again as we head into 1995. This franchise has yet to have a steady owner so it's now a rebuild. Off-season is starting this week so you can make Free Agency moves and you'll be drafting the 1996 MLB rookie class.
