Hey guys, a couple of my friends and I are starting up a new OOTP 21 online league after our league called MLBOnline was mysteriously disbanded. The teams available along with the rules of the league are shown below:

Current Season: 2029 Regular Season (10th Season)

SIMMING: This is a relatively fast-paced online league. Each sim will simulate 1 week in-game. There will be 1 sim per weekday at 9 am PST. On weekends (Friday/Saturday), there will be 2 sims per day, one at 9 am PST, one at 8 pm PST. Let me know if you are going to miss multiple days of simulations in a row. Players who go at least 5 days in a row without exporting will be kicked from the league unless a reason is given.


IN-GAME RULES: This league will, for the most part, follow the same rules as the MLB, with a few changes listed below:

-"Complete Coaching System" will be disabled in-game. This means that the only team staff you will have to manage is your scout.

- MLBOnline has added a rule where new managers are allowed to void one player's contract with no financial penalty. This will help rebuilding teams become competitive again and will make for an overall more enjoyable playing experience.

- In addition, the most frustrating thing about free agency is 30-year old superstars asking for 10-year, $400m contracts. Knowing this, MLBOnline has set the max contract length to 5 years.

- The Universal DH was implemented after an offseason majority vote

- The Wild Card is now a 3 game series after an offseason majority vote


GAME SETTINGS:

- Player Ratings: 20 to 80

- Overall Ratings: 20 to 80 (increments of 5)

- Injury Frequency: Low

- Batter Aging Speed: 0.950

- Pitcher Aging Speed: 0.925

- Batter Development Speed: 1.050

- Pitcher Development Speed: 1.025



CONTRACT RULES:

- When adding team options to a contract, the team option cannot exceed the average yearly salary by more than 25%.

TRADE RULES:

- No trading with AI managers.

- You can PM other managers or use the #trading-block channel to discuss trades.

- Enter your trades in #trade-confirmation. All trades must be approved by a commish. We will be lenient and only veto trades if they're completely ridiculous.



DRAFT RULES:

The draft will be held during the third sim of the league using Stats+. Managers will have two days to build their draft lists and look at players in the draft.

If anyone has other rules suggestions I'll gladly take them. Any rule changes will be posted in #announcements and this channel will be updated accordingly.



If any of you guys have any issues with any of our rules, or any suggestions for any of the rules please let us know. We want this league to be a little different, but we also want everyone in the league to enjoy their experience. We would glad do things such as hold league votes for any rule changes that you guys have in mind.

Anyone know what happened with MLBOnline originally? Slack just got deleted and the entire game was gone after that. Weird.
