Turn off rain outs

Can this be turned off after the season starts? If so, how?

I suppose you could cheat it by editing all the parks to be either domes or retractable roof stadiums...

Yes, that would be a way to work around it. But just like in real life, some times it rains.

No, you can edit the weather to have 0% chance of rain. I have done it for years......

Here is a file you can drop in the database folder in "Documents" and then re-import the weather data into the game and you will never have rain again:

weather.txt

I wonder what the default chance for rain is.

Hoping I see a rainout come in real time since I run simulations daily in real time.

Mostly 3%, with varying chances at varying places. 0 to 8% in the US.

Put a team in Liverpool and it goes up to almost 20%.

I would point out that in real life games are sometimes postponed for reasons other than weather. (Roughly 2% of postponed games were postponed due to something other than weather.)

OOTP does not recreate this, however.

Unless of course you are in Miami and they decide not to close the roof until AFTER the rain starts...

In Glasgow it might be 50%.

Yes, retractable stadiums will not have rain delays, unlike what occasionally happens in real life.
