Sim Stats & Accuracy

I really like FHM4. FHM4 was my first real forray into hockey text sims. I'm about 70 games into year 2 of my Flyers GM-Coach career. One thing I'm noticing is that PP% is 3-4 percentage points too low league wide.

Goalie stats look a bit off also. SV%s are off by about .005 - .01; Top 5 goalies are around legue average (.914 being NHL average), although GAA numbers are ok.

Have any efforts been made to tweak sim stats a bit for FHM4 in an update?

I also noticed that during played games, defensemen get quite a few breakway goals. Has anyone else noticed this?

We're always making small adjustments; I'll take a look and see if there needs to be anything done before the last update. The PP/SH percentages are particularly tough to get exactly right, because leaguewide tactics use can have a pretty significant effect there and can vary from game to game.
