Have you tried just uninstalling and reinstalling the game completely.

As long as I have my E-license # I won't have any problems with that, right?

I just re-installed and when I tried to open the shortcut I got this message:

Dbhelp has caused an error in GD132.DLL.
Dbhelp will now close.

I did a Control Alt Delete, as the game box had opened but the Game wasn't coming up, and got a pop up that says CreateSurface: Backbuffer
NODIRECTDRAWHW

I clicked ok and it changed to

InitApp
Error InitDirectDraw

I got it to open and I am having the same problems that I had before with the Career 2004 file, I tried scouting a player for a trade and it crashed.

Have defrag and scan-disk been run recently? Part of the problem sounds like you just need to disable 3D in the game setup and see if that helps.

Have each of you tried different types of leagues and had the same results?

I just de-fragged a few days ago, and scan disk ran when I had to manually re-start the computer after the game froze yesterday. I will try creating a custom league and I'll see what that does, as I've only tried the league that comes with the game (which has the most problems), and a Standard created league that has problems every once in a while. I'll let you know what the Custom league does.

I just started a standard league with the rosters that came with the game and was able to play 3 full games without a crash.

When I was crashing before, I was using cbl_version_2 rosters. I have to assume it was these rosters making me crash don't I?

Likely, although I do not believe others are having crashes with cbl rosters. If you check your cbl roster folder make sure the one inside your OOTP6 folder has the .lg extension at the end of its name.

It should say CBLv2.0.lg If it does not open CBL folder and see if the one inside it is called that. If so copy and paste the entire contents of the CBLV2.0.lg folder into your main OOTP6 folder.

There was one too many folders created in the download of the CBL rosters and that may be the cause of your issue.

Secondly, make sure it is the CBL rosters for OOTP6 and not OOTP5 you are using.

Yeah, I knew about how the folders were created and I manually moved the folder with the .lg extension into the right place so it isn't that.
