error at manager screen

Im on win NT, and whenever i try to goto the manager screen a window pops up and tells me ootp5.exe has an error and must be closed PLEASE ANYONE HAVE ANY POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Try this, save your league, uninstall the game, reinstall the game and place your league folder back inside the OOTP5 directory. Install the latest patch as well.

I did both i uninstalled as well as have patch 5.14 installed i just bought the game today so it was completely uptodate the only thing i changed was i downloaded real rosters and saved it as a .lg file to use and am using that as my league. did i do something wrong?

Im just trying to play i set my staff / lineups and went to the schedule screen to sim the game and the error pops up. Ive seen the error pop up on a bunch of screens now

i downloaded the roster set for 2003 opening day, made it into a new folder in my ootp5 directory, than used continue league and loaded the league in, and set my name as manager, set lineups etc... and when i went to schedule thats where i hit the snag

the default league the sim worked fine, but for the expanded roster league i loaded it still didnt work? what do you think that means?

I had it unzipped into a seperate folder should I unzip the files directly into the main directory?

Look inside of your OOTP5 folder, is the "league file" you are having problems with one of the folders you see?

yeah i just created a new folder in the ootp5 directory named it bc.lg and unzipped the files into that folder, and loaded the league under the open league option in the file menu, so I could have the real rosters, and it never worked? does it sound like i did it right?
