Manual Offense

I have played out a few months of the 2016 season on 17 and am experiencing the same problem as 16.

I sim through some innings and play by play some innings. My offense is always pathetic. I expect to be underwhelming with the Cardinals but I don't expect Carpenter and Holliday to be batting in the .220's in July.

I have changed hitting coaches and often I end up trading for a star hitter to carry the Matts. Shouldn't the Matts carry themselves? At least .270 averages?

I change lineups from time to time to try to find players sweet spots.

Molina is at .180 that is really low
Grichuk is at .240 that is about right

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

I agree, whats their BABIP.

Holliday BABIP .253
Carpenter BABIP .278
Molina BABIP .262

It could be just bad luck, season after season.

I just wanted to know if they way I play was affecting it.

I typically do PBP for first time through order
Sim to 8th inning
Do PBP for 8th and 9th
I almost always sim defense.

The game engine is always the same of course, no matter how you play.
