is this game really this dificult to naviagate?

Wow!!! I haven't played this game in years. I finally took time to set up a league and am trying to do an inaugural draft. Is this game really this difficult to navigate? Do you really have to leave the draft every time you want to do ANYTHING: Look at stats compare players. It doesn't matter what it is. Is there a way around this? Am I missing something?

This is also the only draft module that I have seen that you cannot look at last year's stats. Of course, the stats for 2013 are going to be zeros, the season can't start before the draft.

You are missing many things.

From the inaugural draft screen you'll be on Draft rules. Top left there is another tab that says "Continue draft", when the draft pool appears the top left will be a dropdown that says view, select the view you want ratings, batting stats, pitching stats whatever. once you get that done. select batting stats or pitching stats, another drop down will appear that says "split"...from there you can select any of a multitude of splits including but not limited to Last years stats, 2 years ago stats or whatever you like. So yes all the things you mentioned are available to you
