Great stuff, Dean. I'd browsed this thread a little in the past, but just started downloading and using your ratings. The first fight I had was Carlos Monzon vs. Stanley Ketchel -- amazing. Of course, a 15 vs. a 14 should be good. But.
Monzon hurts Ketchel in the first and ekes out rounds 2-4. He's doing the same early in 5 when boom, Ketchel drops him with one shot. Monzon takes a hellacious beating the rest of the round. Many refs would have stopped it, but Kevin Champion lets it go to the bell. Monzon regains control in a close, relatively tame sixth. He opens up in the sixth, badly hurting Ketchel in a round that sees both receive warnings for fouls and Champion watching Stanley closely at the end. More of the same in the eighth. Monzon evens the knockdown count with a right upppercut midway through, and only Champion's patience allows the fight to continue. Monzon keeps pouring it on in 9 (an exhausted Ketchel doesn't land a meaningful punch in 8 or 9, getting outscored by a combined 39-1). Ketchel lands a big right cross early in the 10th, swinging the momentum yet again, and takes a close round. Another hard right early in the 11th sends Ketchel into a frenzy. He lands every power punch he throws, leaving Monzon defenseless for much of the round. Again, Champion fails to intervene where most refs likely would. Finally, Monzon drops after absorbing a hellacious combination and is counted out at 2:32 of the 10th, narrated by a line of ring commentary I don't ever remember seeing before: 02:32 * Thats it! The fight is over and Monzon has still not moved as the medicial staff rushes in to check on him. Ketchel takes the victory here in 11 with a thunderous knockout. (has anyone else ever run across this before?) Carlos led 97-91, 98-90, 96-92 going into the 11th. Wow. Zale-Graziano who? Please, for all our sakes, keep up the great work ...

I was away from the forum on another project for the past few weeks. It's a great return to see that you are on a roll---I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with you and digest all of these ratings

As always, your revisions are right on the $ and so very insightful. What I do miss, however, are the wonderful discourses that you used to include explaining the rationale behind your changes. But leave it to me to push off more work on another person
