MLB Set Up with Fictional Players

I am looking to start a league with MLB teams and minor leagues but with Fictional players.

I choose from the start up screen Fictional league. From there I pick standard MLB set up. I was hoping this would give me all the MLB teams and minors and stadiums but none of the players. I also choose to schedule an inaugural draft. I start up the game hoping that the player pool is all fictional but unfortunately all the teams are filled with real players and rosters.

Anyone know how I can get what I am looking for? Is there a way I can delete the player pool and have the game create a whole new player universe?

just click from the main screen

custom game
fictional game
thenon that setup screen will be an option to set up a complete MLB with minors setup (minus real players)

Continue on with your set up
you will get a 6 level minor MLB setup with fictional players. I recommend simming 10-20 years to get rid of the first crop of created players. Clear the history and off you go

Was pretty sure this is what I tried. Just did it again. I start the league after choosing fictional league, mlb set up. I start the league and the rosters are already full with current MLB Players. Grrrrr Not sure what I am doing wrong.

In league settings you can dump the roster into free agency and delete the free agents, then fill league rosters in league settings. You would need to do this for every league, though.

Finally got it to work. Seems to be something when I load the financial settings for a certain year. Weird.
