World series champion
I finished the 2015 season - and the Washington Nationals won the World Series but the game history section does not reflect this, what could cause this problem, and how can I fix it?

Does not reflect this?
Please clarify - what does the history show. What date did the WS end? What date is it in your game? |

Should update the day after the playoffs end.

Bluenoser ---- in the history section it reflects the Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks - the other NL/ALDS winners - and nothing is bolded. The World Series was between the Minnesota Twins and the Washington Nationals. It was a sweep for Wash ---- finished on 10/24/2015, the in game date is now 1/1/16 and it still does not show.
The next tab over it shows Washington as champs. |

This seems like a bug or an error to me --- I agree it should refect at the conclusion of the season.

Something like this used to happen in OOTP12 I think. As soon as someone won the World Series, if you advanced a day, in the "Standings" section the World Series winner would be highlighted, but history wouldn't get updated until you advanced one more day to start the offseason.
There was a bug where if you saved/quit OOTP on that last day of postseason before advancing to the offseason, the WS champ, (and their staff histories I believe) wouldn't get updated properly when you advanced to the offseason. If you didn't save your game and just advanced straight from the last game of the WS to the offseason, everything recorded fine. The bug was found by Markus and fixed, however. Hope that's not what's happening here. I haven't started playing OOTP14 yet but I'll keep my eye out for this once I do. |

Any more advice or suggestions? This is a mild irritant, but it should be able to keep the history right, and not include both NL/ALDS winners vice the two actual WS teams, and the BOLDED winner - Washington Nationals.

You'll probably want to post this in the bug reporting thread and ftp your league files so Markus can take a look at them.

Still no advice or recommendation(s) on how to fix this; guess I will need to just move forward with a game that is not accurately reflecting what it needs to.

The only thing I can recommend is that next time you finish a World Series, advance straight to the offseason and don't try saving the game in between. And that's only if the bug I mentioned that used to be in OOTP 12 has resurfaced somehow, which I'm hoping it did not. Otherwise, it might just have been a fluke thing since it hasn't happened to anyone else yet. In that case, you're probably stuck with it. When it happened to me in my 40-year dynasty in OOTP 12 (I had two straight seasons with no bolded WS champ in the history before Markus found the bug and quashed it), I was pretty bummed. I have to take that in consideration also when I look at the team's history page - because they don't get credit for winning the WS there either. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any way to edit it unless you were able to contact Markus directly, upload your league file, and see if he could use some magic binary editor to fix it.
Sorry I don't have better news. |

Yes, please post in the Bug Thread, and FWIW, the only time I've had issues with the reporting in histories is when I've started, restarted, or altered a league without first erasing the original history.
