Question about moving teams from one league to another

I am not sure if this is a bug or not or I am just dumb. I have been playing a little under a year and still am new on things and this might be one of them. Here is an example of my issue. So I have several leagues and at a point in history a few teams will jump from one league to another. So the thing that I keep having issues with is that on the team history screen it does not update that the club started in for example as my screenshot shows 1924 but instead 1917 when the league started playing.

So is this a bug or just me being dumb?

The team we are focusing on is the Seattle Metropolitans. First you see that they are listed being from 1917-1924 but in the following screens you will see they only played in 1924.

1923 (they were still in the (PCL)

1924 (Played one and only year in CBL)

This league history is for the CBL only ... and since they only played these 24 games in that league that's all that's shown here, their PCL games should show up in the PCL league history.

Totally but in the team history screen shouldn't it list them as 1924-1924 not 1917-1924??

That's what I don't get (I looked at this yesterday and wanted to respond but I could not think of anything). Any possibility that you inadvertently "recycled" an old franchise when you created the Seattle Metropolitans?

Since you moved them the Team ID followed to the new league.

To separate them you would need to have recreated them in the new league and then moved all their players over after.

Think current Houston Astros who also changed leagues by moving.

Ah ok I wish there was a faster way where it would just update without having to create a new club and move anything. Oh well a little extra time won't hurt.

I can't believe I nailed it with that shot in the dark. By the way, did you see this in the announcement for OOTPB 18 today?
