Those number do not add up. The 11 league opponents would mean including the division opponents too. That could be done - 30 games per division opponent and 8 against the rest in the league. I do not personally like so many 4-game series, but they could be counter-weighted with more numerous 2-game series so many weeks have a 2- and a 4-game series plus an offday.

Looking back I was surprised there were not many 2 subleague, 3 division per, 4 team per, with interleague. You probably saw these... The first is highly balanced, but the second seem pretty close to what you wanted, but with those "extra" games from double-counting division opponents being in more interleague.

One easy to sketch idea similar to that configuration would be:
  • 24 games vs 3 division opponents
  • 9 games against 8 division opponents
  • 3 games against 6 interleague opponents

Curious

Guys this is not a request for a schedule, you've already done more than enough.
I guess I'd like advice
Right now the IBL
2 Leagues
26 teams
L1 4/4/4
L2 4/5/5

I will let the game expand up to 30, maybe 32 depending on how it does it all.
What I want each year is a division heavy schedule with just ONE interleague H/H series. You only play one team in the other league and that opponent changes each season.

So I'm at 26, and will need one for 28, 30 and possibly 32 teams.
Is anything already done that meets these requirements? I can't find one, most of them have too much Interleague play. I want to keep those series 'special' and unique if possible.

IS there any way to get the IL opponent to be different each year? Not a big deal if not.

1 interleague series is scheduled per team, directly after the ASB in July; where possible, teams play an opponent from the corresponding division, but because of the mismatched division sizes it's not possible for every team to

Season is 1 day shorter than current usual MLB schedule (which starts on a Thursday)

Didn't pay too much attention to homestands or roadtrip lengths, but I think they max out at 13 games in length

Oh, and forks up! I meant to comment on the ASU logo in your sig. That's my alma mater, yours too? The maroon and gold of my avatar are meant as ASU colors

Year-to-year the game mixes up the slots teams fill in the schedule slots. That randomizes, though only within the same division.

So if you have a series against one team in a 5-team division, then next season you will still have a series against someone from that division, with each team there (including the one played the previous season) having an equal 1-in-5 change of being the one.
