Issues moving to OOTP17

Our league made the move to 17 this offseason and we have run into a couple issues. I was wondering if anyone else encountered these issues and if they found fixes.

I can't update the online reports. I get a database error.

GMs can't make use of all their money available for FA. Owners are rejecting offers even though they still have money available.

Any help would be appreciated.

We had some issues in the NAPBBP as well, one of which was the league reports on our website. Not sure what webhost you're using, but check your on-line league settings to make sure they match what you had before. For some reason, 17 started naming them in all small letters napbbp rather than all caps NAPBBP that it was before. Not sure if that is the same issue you are having, but it did mess up updating the league reports on-line as well as file uploads and downloads. Hope that helps!

I've run into the same issue as SDSU baseball. All my info stayed the same. Any ideas would be appreciated?

Sorry guys, wish I could help but doesn't appear that my webhost uses the same file format as maybe yours does. When I ftp my reports.tar.gz to the website, I need to rename it to NAPBBP.tar.gz in order to unzip and update the reports on the site. My issue came from version 17 changing it to small letters from version 15 that we were using which was in caps. It sounds like there is a similar type of issue with the upgrade but you probably need to get with your webhost to find out what it is.

There was at least 1 member of the league that had a file upload/download issue due to his passive/active settings but doubt that had anything to do with the report upload. Maybe try reviewing/updating your on-line league settings again?

I have the same issue with my reports after converting. Have you figured this out yet?

Ive had to create the files, archive, and upload in game through the reports center than extract manually.

Problem is it changes the web address and puts a /news/html/ in the url. Then all images need to be fixed too. Not sure why they broke in conversions from 16.

My league just converted to OOTP 17 and we are having the exact same problem when uploading reports. Anyone know how to resolve?

Same with our league

I believe I need to log into the sql server and manually drop the previous reports tables, but I'm not positive

Pretty frustrating that there isn't an easy button for this. It seems like anyone who has resolved their issues disappears from these threads...I have to believe someone has figured this out and would be willing to help?

Asahi2 is having the same issues. I've tried everything and now am exploring how to upload manually.

I had issues an the NABL and contacted Allsim who is my provider. He had to do something/change something and it works fine now. But it wasn't as easy/instant as passed upgraded with the html for me.

upgrading league to ootp17
Step 1: navigate via ftp to your league's report folder; delete the entire contents of your reports folder (after verifying you don't have anything important that you personally stored within it for whatever reason, or back it up)

Step 2: rebuild your php script files via game/game settings/online league/online league settings/create php server script files
You will need to enter in the correct information in order to build the correct script files. Create a brand new sql database.

Step 3: after creating your 3 script files upload them into your reports folder which should be empty

Step 4: upload your reports

Ok, I had this issue, you need to go into your cpanel and dump the old reports files. Then re-load reports as usual and they will work. From my Site provider:

Quote:
" You need to drop all the tables in the reports database via cPanel > phpMyAdmin. After that, run your reports again and they should work fine.
"

WARNING be sure you are dropping the correct files. I mistakenly dumped the wrong files and inadvertently deleted my Forum of 3 years and 18 Seasons in an online league. Once I dropped the correct files it worked fine, but I had no backup for my forum and my only recourse to save it was pay for a data mining recovery ($200+), so needless to say my forum is gone and we moved to Slack full time LOL

I would highly recommend backing everything up before trying this fix

I haven't resolved the issues with the "easier" and more common way to do the reports. That still isn't working for me.

Here's what I've done now:

1. Go to league settings/ online league/ then "create/ upload reports"
2.Select which reports you want to create, I recommend breaking them up vertically not horizontally, if you intend to do this in parts
3. Now Create Reports
4. Next Page Create Archive
5. Now go to the site's Cpanel
6. Go Files/ File Manager
7. Select Web Root then click Go
8. go game/ lgreports/ find reports.tar.gz and choose extract on top.
9. it'll create a "news" file go in there and move the reports files from in there out to lgreports, but still within their respective folders like "players."
