Does the AI make trades while on DND

Hello everyone,

I know I am probably the only one that does this but I like to start a league where I have myself marked as "GM and manager" however I like the game to sim for about 10 seasons before I actually do anything. So basically I set everything to be done by my assistants or bench coaches etc for about 10 seasons and I also set myself in "do not disturb" I even set for them to initiate and respond to trades but after 10 seasons I see my team never completed one trade.

Does the game no longer do this? I swear in past versions I had done this before and the team would make trades etc. Did things change with this version? How do you all recommend to be able to establish what I want to do?

I have not encountered this, but if you have a backup, just remove yourself as manager and gm, sim 10 years, and go into commish mode to take the job after that.
