just a little rant
This is the problem i have with OOTP sometimes.
When the game engine has decided that you will NOT win the game, no matter what you do, no matter who you bring in to pinch hit, or no matter which reliever you bring in, the game destroys you anyway. I know i sound like a sore loser. I really think that because the game engine is algorithm generated and not dice generated, I sometimes think the AI does cheat against you when you play out your games. I love OOTP, but losing games the way I have and with the talent my teams have are really starting to drive me crazy. Just a little rant...from a guy who loves the game.

You're not going to win all of them.
What kind of lineup do you have? |

The OOTP engine must be controlling the Mets' season this year.

c'mon ea sports games? there's always a way to exploit them. "madden" level in the nfl gam you could score triple digits against it and shut them out most the time.
even if you lose at first, only play the toughest level settings... you'll be crushing them in time. get used to the timing instead of the huge room for error you get on other settings. |

but then again...with the way the real life Mets are playing and the way my dynasty Mets seem to be mimicking them, maybe OOTP is doing it right...what do I know?

I used to get frustrated when being down a couple of runs, the game is in the middle to late innings, have two runners on base and you know what happens? That's exactly the time my next batter hits into a double play to end the inning! What cured that for me is watching my favorite team on tv, because they do the same thing there too! Something that does get me upset and I don't think this mimics what happens in real life that much is this.....you are down three or four runs and you need base runners. Your lead off hitter hits an easy double but gets tagged out trying to stretch it into a triple. But that doesn't happen too often. Last edited by Klaus 74; 08-19-2016 at 08:51 PM. |

I have a stacked team that, over the course of the season, will play something like.700 to .750 ball. Yet, we still have losing streaks.
I just got swept in a 3-game series by the perennial basement dwellers in our league!! It happens. |
