"I coulda been better. I coulda broke every record in the book."
About a month into the season, I noticed that the guy leading the league in home runs and batting clean-up for Philadelphia was somebody I'd never heard of. I took a closer look to find that he was one of best independent league discoveries I've ever seen (scouting discovery -- I don't have any indy leagues running).
I'm going to have to come up with some kind of backstory like in "The Natural" to explain where he was for the first decade of his career. Has anyone else seen a guy come out of indy ball that was this good?

It's only a short while into his career so like a lot of players he might not keep up the pace, but his ratings are certainly impressive and seem to indicate he'll keep it up for at least a little while.
I like your league logo. Did you make it or find it? |

Thanks. I found it on the OOTP forums a while back.

I watched a 28 year old indy leaguer win the NL MVP in his 2nd season.
Love how OOTP can produce amazing moments like that. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...r-mlb-mvp.html

The marlins found this guy as a scouting discovery. In his rookie year, 33 HR, 13 triples, ROY, MVP. And yet despite an outfield of him, Stanton, and Yelich, they finished below .500 in 2017.

i've seen a couple rated high before i turned off indy league FA's. Just a personal preference, as i don't like developed stars coming into the league. I have the international free agents on if i don't have any world leagues, though

Those two guys appeared in my league. I tried to get the SP but the Brewers unfortunately knew what they are doing. Did not really like Gomez and I still don't get why they play him in the field every day and DH Randal Grichuk, but hey, Joe Girardi knows what he is doing...
