...and so it starts.
RTR is becoming just as much of a ritual as Opening Day itself. |

This year it'll be even easier as MLB now gives just the player's pic in higher res. 213x320 jpg which shrinks perfectly to ootp's spec of 170x255 and with paint.net which is what I use, it's real easy to convert to png and get rid of the background. First pic is the mlb original of Chris B. Young. His second is after shrinking and getting rid of background in paint.net Last edited by Bigrod; 03-08-2016 at 10:52 PM. |

Is the MLB license really worth the hassle you guys have with these types of things? What does it bring that we wouldn't have already had in previous versions?

For starters, it probably brings a wider user base - the license can attract a number of holdouts.

Really giving up two road to release posts is a small price to pay to grow the game. |

It absolutely is. That being said, it can sometimes make the writing process a bit challenging. My sense of humor, at least, has a tendency to make the MLB guys' hair stand on end.

you had me at: "Support for multi-core processors"
i think ootp 16 never uses more than 15-20% of 1 core. now we just have to get you guys to consolidate all those tiny txt files into one large one. save a lot of space and 5000 files won't potentially be scattered all over a hdd. i can copy 1-2gigs in short order... but 5000 lil txt files in a full backup just doesn't copy so fast. most mechanical drives will dip to 4MB/s or so while moving/copying those tiny files. |
