1882 American Association

I am trying to replay the 1882 American Association season. Whenever I attempt to set up the league, OOTP has two leagues, the AL and the NL. Each league has eight teams in it and some are not the teams that played in 1882. Two of the teams did not exist. When I looked at the teams page, it states the number of teams cannot be modified because it is an historical season. Is there a fix for this?

It is an OOTP design decision. They set things up so real 19th Century history is not included.

You can edit the league by hand but unless you are doing a single season replay you'll need to make the changes every year. League structure will revert to what you are seeing every year. Players do not show up on the correct teams either.

Thank you for the response! This seems odd to me. I don't understand why the company wouldn't either set those seasons up for a straight replay or if they lack confidence in the realism of the replay, just exclude those seasons. At the least, they could offer a warning of how the season will set up so the player would know what to expect. I found it quite frustrating.
