Scouting Budget

I've done some searches and this is what I think the 4 different categories mean:

MLB: Self-explanatory but some say that this is not as important because you play the other teams so the scouting is not important. Others say it is more important because your coach/manager needs to make decisions on the field based on scouting reports.

MiL: Self-explanatory?

Amateur: These are the players in the amateur draft in June and also the international free agents in July and in November.

International: this only applies to the international free agents that your scouting director finds now and then. If this is turned off there is no problem having this set to 0.

international -- unless they changed it in the last few years, it should only apply to scouting discoveries and international leagues, if they exist.

yeah, set it to zero.. the money spent in other areas will almost certainly create enough positive gain to overcome any deduction to scouting discoveries.. if you have international leagues, you may need to think about it a bit more.

you'll still get them. the chacne of them being any good is so tiny, that a slight deduction from that is nearly nonexistent compared to the whole pie.

IAFA are amatuers. you can test this by observing accuracy with int'l funding... then remove it to zero... the distribution will look similar -- or turn on commissioner mode and look under the covers to see.

like the others, as you dump more money into them, you shift the distribution of what you see to a less rosey future. with alow budget you get a ton of high end prospects in the draft, as seen through inaccuracy. as you dump more in, you can see a shift in distribution without looking at real values in profile edit. if this doesn't change, it liekly doesn't affect that batch of players.
