GAK! Pinch hitting leadoff hitter!

This has happened three games in a row, I attempt to pinch hit for my pitcher hitting 9th and instead it substitutes my lead off hitter. All three times I quickly hit "SWING" and allowed my pitcher to strikeout too.

A BIG problem when your lead off hitter leads the team in AVG, HR, RBI, R, and SB and your trying to WIN

ok im calm now

You know, this has happened to me multiple times as well.

I just assumed I was doing something. Sounds like a bug to me.

I've accidentally had Jorge Posada try to bunt for a hit 3 times instead of taking a pitch. I've never done that with another player. Figures it would be the slowest guy on my team

That is pretty strange, I've never seen or heard of this before. We'll look into it.

To me as well, but I thought it was me being inattentive.

This has happened to me a few times as well. It seems to happen when I don't simply insert the desired pinch hitter on the first try, such as selecting a PH but then backing out and selecting another.

Happened again. I tried to sub my 7th place hitter for a double switch.

I'm worried I'm not hitting the VERY SMALL substitute button all the way and it's defaulting to the lead off for whatever reason.

It is crazy but so far I was not able to reproduce that. But I will continue to and report back.

Yes, this is definitely the case -- press the wrong player, back it out, and then the first player gets replaced no matter who you selected.

I just had that happen too - I wanted to bring in a new pitcher mid-inning (i.e. not a pinch-hitting situation). Instead of replacing my pitcher, the new pitcher replaced my leadoff hitter instead. I didn't tap another player and back out, like some have said here, though, so that's not it. And the leadoff guy and the guy I was trying to tap are at opposite ends of the list, so I couldn't have tapped the leadoff guy by accident.

I did have the feeling, when I tapped the button, that I didn't hit it too accurately, though. Could it be that if you tap a little below the button, that it "wraps" to the top player?

Maybe the substitution button should give some visual feedback (highlight the line while it is pressed) so that you know whether you hit the tiny button correctly.

We found the bug and fixed it. It will be available with the 1.0.2 update.

palli. Any idea how additional seasons will be available? For example $0.99 per year. Or maybe $4.99 for 10 seasons?

How the pricing will work with bundles is not decided yet, but it will be a discounted price compared to individual purchases...
