New PR and Marketing Manager for Franchise Hockey Manager
Hi all,
While I have been posting in the forum and my signature notes it, I never did officially introduce myself in this public forum. Brad is now focusing on PR/marketing for OOTP and BTS, so I have been brought on to do the same job for Franchise Hockey Manager. I am a 31-year-old Canadian, born in Ontario, raised in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia (home of Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnnon AND me and now living in Moncton, New Brunswick. I'm very excited to be a part of the team as I truly feel the future is quite bright for Franchise Hockey Manager. There's an extremely devoted and passionate fan base for this game and our developers are incredibly talented and willing to put in the hard work to get this game where it needs to be. I thank you all for your patience as we move towards the release of FHM 2 and ask for your continued patience in that regard. I will be around on the forums on a daily basis, and will try to answer any questions I can. Any others I don't know the answer to, I will do my best to find that answer! Please feel free to PM me if you have any issues or concerns that relate to FHM (problems with licenses as an example). Now, with introductions out of the way.. For those who missed it, here's a podcast that I was on, along with Brad. We were there to discuss all OOTP Developments games, so there's some chatter in there about sim games in general, as well as OOTP, BTS and yes, FHM. Thanks, Cole! (Sorry, I missed this announcement earlier.)
And to answer any questions about why I stepped aside: Baseball has always been my favorite sport, with the NFL a close #2. Hockey was always a distant 3rd, and while I followed it in the 80s and 90s (fond memories of watching the Flyers' Crazy 8s line and Ron Hextall), I fell off the wagon in the late 90s due to work, family, etc. and never really got back on. I decided that while I enjoyed helping FHM with its launch, I felt it would be better to pass the PR and marketing to someone who is more of a hockey fan, and Cole was the perfect choice, since he was already working with us. |
