Professional Baseball Replay League - Inaugural Hall Of Fame Ballot Part II, 1937 - Everyone Welcome
Welcome to the second Hall of Fame election for the Professional Baseball Replay League! Ever since 1901, we have been faithfully simming the history of baseball over again with different players, different personalities, and different histories. And now, after more than a year in the real world, we have entered 1936, the year in which the first ever Hall of Fame elections took place. We follow that tradition, and we now hold our first ever election. 10 players will be elected into the first ever Hall of Fame class in 1939. Last year we elected 7 players, so we need 3 more to go. If we get more than 3 this year, they will all make it. Players need 75% to be elected. Each voter can vote for up to 10 players. I want to stress that you can vote for anyone who is retired. The list of players below are a recommendation of the 10 best hitters and pitchers. Please feel free to look at our Catobase, which is enhanced with many stats many version of Cato usually lack. http://pbrl.allsimbaseball2.com/CatoBase/ If you take a look at the leaderboards for OPS+, ERA+, and Win Shares, you can get a good feeling. ANYONE CAN VOTE! But if you aren’t active in PBRL, please submit a serious ballot or don’t vote at all. And now, the players, and then the votes! 1936 ELECTION Last edited by DamnYankees; 02-20-2008 at 12:19 PM. |

Geist Martin Paine Praetorius Shifman Hartung Joy Sanders Slocum I'm still leaving two guys off the ballot (Rooker and Shep Sanders) that I plan on voting for in the future. Getting it narrowed down though. EDIT: And because I can't count, I get to add a vote for one of those two... Sanders is added italized. They'll probably both get in anyway. Got a few less votes than last year, but still a decent amount, and here are the results. We had 7 player elected again this year. We now have 14 players who have been elected to the first ever HOF class. Whether that number will stay at 14, or will be cut to 10, is up the commissioner's discretion. But for now, here's how the voting breaks down.
Code:
Hartung 100.0% Slocum 92.3% Martin 84.6% Sanders 84.6% Joy 76.9% Geist 76.9% Paine 76.9% Praetorius 69.2% Rooker 69.2% Brent 38.5% Shifman 38.5% Burlingame 38.5% Iburg 15.4% Rogers 15.4% Webber 7.7% Calhoun 7.7% McTeague 0.0% Poe 0.0% Coltrane 0.0% Fulk 0.0% No one will fall off the ballot, but now that we have over 10 players for the inaugural class, we won't have an election next year. |
