Historical stat updates

I was clicking on some of my players to respond to surprises and disappointments thread and noticed that WAR stats for previous seasons were changing. Before the last simulation, my Ozzie Albies had WARs of 3.9 and 4.0 for 2023 and 2024. After the simulation, they went up to 4.1 and 4.2. What's the story? Are adjustments going on all the time with the WAR calculations?

Yeah I saw this too. Shane Victorino had like 5.x WAR one season and then in his career stats it says 8.6WAR. Then he won the MVP and had another 5.x WAR season and in career stats it says 7WAR

Along the same lines, I am noting significant shifts in the Zone Rating of certain players. For example, I was very concerned to find that Paul Blair had a slightly negative ZR in CF for my team last season. When I looked to check on his current season to see if the trend would continue, I find that his ZR for last season has jumped to +18.9. Similarly, Live Bryce Harper was -4-ish in LF last season, but is now showing as having posted a +15.3.

Well maybe that explains why I couldn't find much of a correlation between catcher defensive ratings and ZR

Past calculated stats (ZR, WAR, OPS+, etc..) will change. In a regular game, they will shift very slightly, because we can at least go back to the historical league stats and know what the league batting average/etc.. were. Due to creating new leagues in PT, we cannot look back to see what the actual league stats that year were, so those values will shift slightly.

So there's no way to make that a static value instead of a calculation to remain after they're no longer in that league?

No, unfortunately not without a ton of work, that wouldn't be possible. They don't generally change by too much, though.
