Clarification re: Movement and Stuff

I know I'm a little late to figuring this out, but if my analysis from this past season is correct...

Stuff effects contact % and Movement effects the contact quality?
So if I load up on high movement and good qualify defenders, I should improve?

I've been stuck in the middle of the pack in Diamond and sick of having my pitchers put up 5+ ERA.

Right on stuff, clarification on movement. Movement is basically home run prevention. At diamond level, you should definitely be trying to improve your movement on all pitchers. Having movement under 70 will definitely start to hurt by diamond.

Movement is so important because it is hard to win if you cannot keep the ball in the park. In Perfect every team will take you downtown over and over if you float out that low movement pitcher, unless he has really, really good stuff and control both.
