Is this legit? Two seconds in has to be some sort of record

Time counts down from 20:00.... so that would be 2 seconds left in the period.

Timer in this game counts up, as you can plainly see from the penalty listing in the second period.

Goal was scored two seconds into the game.

BTW, NHL record for fastest goal at the beginning of a game is 4 seconds, most recently by Alex Mogilny in 1991. Two seconds is a bit tight, but certainly could happen.

Two seconds is already pretty absurd, but two seconds for a goal with two assists is impossible.

I'm not sure. center wins face off. LW passes to LD. LD slaps the puck. Goalie is sleeping. Highly improbable, sure. Not totally sure it's impossible.

Positively absurd, and unthinkable. But impossible?

Picture this unlikely event. The referee is set for the opening faceoff. Malkin leans in for Pittsburgh. It's Giroux for the Flyers. The puck is dropped, and Geno deftly swats the biscuit out of mid-air, to the left side of the circle, before Claude can react. The puck goes toward Beau Bennett, who tries to corral it, but instead it deflects behind him to Niskanen, who is moving toward certer red. Niskanen had noticed that Emery isn't watching the play--he wasn't ready for the faceoff and is tucking the water bottle into place.

Niskanen one-times the puck from the red line. The goal light turns red. Emery's face does, too. 1-0 Pens. Time of the goal 0:02.

You might be lucky to witness this once in your lifetime. We've already suspended disbelief by describing Malkin winning a faceoff, and Niskanen getting his shot on the net. But it could happen

Edit: Ninja'd!

Bill Mosienko scored three goals in 21 seconds for the Blackhawks against the Rangers in 1952 and there was an assist on each goal. He hit the post 45 seconds later, so it could have been four goals in just over a minute. So anything is possible. But it would be hard to imagine that a goal with two assists could be scored in two seconds of a face-off at centre ice.

This was a forward scoring from the center and other wing. So this goal, for sure is impossible. No way the center wins to the LW, who passes over to the RW, who scores from center ice all in 2 seconds. Nope. I'm sure the 4 second goals were all empty netters as well.

Apparently a 2 second goal actually happened in the Danish League. Link doesn't say how it happened or whether there were any assists though.

That's what I was thinking - Datsyuk 'wins the draw' with Alfredsson poking it lose and Zetterberg firing it on net? Ryan Miller should be ashamed. And I'm sure Drew is on the Wings bench laughing

Hmm, that would be a bit more difficult

Have you reported that? Maybe not a bug so much as it is an undesired game mechanic...
