Historical Minor League Import
What is the logic to create the ratings for minor leaguers? Does it convert these to MLE? I'm seeing 19/20 year olds who had really good single A seasons in real life minors coming in with 40+ contact ratings (20-80) and usually getting called up the first year. I use the single-year replay import settings to try to reduce these ratings but it doesn't always help.
For example 19 yo Derek Jeter hit 295 in Single A in 1993 and started with a 45 contact rating. He ended up spending 10 games in Single A, 50 in AA 50 in AAA and then was promoted in September. These players end up debuting a couple of years earlier than real life. Re-calc would probably help, but I don't like re-calc because you know who is going to improve /decline. |

When you turn off recalc you destroy the logic and anything can happen. Want to see Ichiro hit 55 HR's a year then turn off recalc. Want to see Jeter flame out. Turn off recalc. Recalc is the historical regulater that regulates the things that need regulating.

Does re-calc affect the original import or initial ratings during the draft?

I do not know. I would think not.
I believe it takes a year or two to kick in which is why most historical gamers start their leagues a couple of years early.
