Well Deserved
I have played the OOTP series for a number of years and '17 ranks as my all time favorite largely due to the addition of historical minor league rosters. I am happy to see that other people are recognizing how great this game is; it deserves all the attention it will/should get. Great job Markus, T.J., and everyone else involved in making OOTP what it is!

Let us see if OOTP 18 can beat the 93 score. A tough act to follow but I am sure the team will be up to the challenge; well deserved kudos to all involved in the evolution of this great game!

This franchise has gone further than I thought possible. It is a testament to the vision of Markus and Andreas but also the fine people they have hired that makes this game what it is. I can't think of a situation where one feels so invested in the success of a business. I'm all in. I suspect that there are many here who feel the same way.

Awesome, guys!
Just imagine how amazing the game will be in a few versions time, with face-gen integrated, full-scale 3D and multiple camera options (from behind home plate, above the pitcher's shoulder, press box, etc)... And with a GM/player AI so good you can have dynamic, evolving conversations with rival GMs and player agents, nutting out hard trades, or contracts and extensions... And with a 3D stadium generator, with in-game options to allow the stadium to evolve naturally dependent on the owner, or build and add to it as the game progresses... And a random world generator - complete with maps... We can dream right

I like OOTP 17 don't get me wrong....but a little over blown no?
I mean ok but in comparison that the OP mentions OOTP only has 7 critics to Dark's 45...and user score is 8.4 based on 24 ratings for OOTP whereas Dark has a user rating of 8.5 based on 722 ratings.... So um, yeah the score might show one thing, but look at the details... |
