WWSM 2007 try-and-buy demo

For most of the past day, I've been trying to download the WWSM 2K7 demo from SI's official site, but with no luck-- the download generally won't start at all, or if it does, it crawls at, like, 3 KB per second.

Is there somewhere else where I can find the file? Has SI put it up on Fileplanet or something like that? I ask because, after trying out the strawberry demo of FM 2007, I was very pleased with the new features, so I ran right off and bought the download version of WSM 2K7 via Sega's site... only to find that I can't actually /download/ the friggin' game.

I'm slightly frustrated.

I only get about 30 kb per second, so it's slow for me as well.

I gave up too. Too bad there are lots of mirrors for FM but none for WWSM.

Its terrible business to basically make it impossible to buy the game.

Why not download the FM2007 demo and buy the game from Amazon and get a disc and manual?

No, no, I did download the FM 2007 demo. I was very pleased with it, so I bought the downloadable version of WSM 2K7... only to find that I couldn't actually, y'know, download it. That's why I'm looking for another place where I can get the file-- but apparently there /are/ no mirrors for WWSM, as another poster mentioned.

You can get it directly from Sega as well

Their servers are pretty fast

When I went to SEGA, their website simply led me back to SI to download.

Yeah, I purchased WWSM2006 from the Sega Website but this year, for some reason, you still download from SI even going through the Sega website. They really need to rethink this.

Sadly, I can't even buy WWSM2007 from amazon.ca since it doesn't carry the title even though amazon.com does. But the latter doesn't ship to Cdn addresses anymore.

The SI servers are horrible to download from. I don't know why that is, but it'd be a good move, IMO, if they worked on improving those bandwidth issues.

Agreed. I wonder how many sales they have lost because of this problem?

Good to know I'm not the only one.

I dled the EHM 2007 demo and it moved along pretty well.

I tried dling the WWSM 2007 demo and had no luck. It crept along at 2 kb/second. It was going to take 9 hours to dl and 3 hours in it closed out on me because of an error. So, I gave up.

This was on Christmas Day. I thought that maybe a lot of people were dling it for the holidays, but apparently, that's not the case.

I'll try that link that was offered in this thread. But, hopefully, SI reads this thread and realizes that something is up with their servers.

That's good to know. I've been playing WWSM2005 again and am getting very tempted to download 2007.
