Need help

I am using the new OOTP 6.12 patch, and I just noticed this problem. When I go to Sign Free Agents screen and choose pitching ratings from the dropdown menu, the values dont line up correctly and i dont believe these ARE the values. I've included a bmp. Any help greatly appreciated.

I dont understand. Are you saying that it doesnt match their actual ratings? The SS you provided does nothing to conclusively prove your theory if that is the case. Make sure your not confusing the ratings. There is a difference between the players current ratings and their talent ratings.

If you look at it closer, you'll see that the ratings being displayed on that screen aren't pitcher ratings, as they should be. There are 9 ratring buttons at the top, and 11 columns of numbers that don't match up.

I'd guess "screen resolution" first(should be 1024x768) or it could be video drivers possibly.

Actually, i only noticed this when I installed the newest patch.

Interesting to note, my computer crashed last a week and a half ago, and I have only today recovered everything that was on my computer. I can run OOTP as I normally do (there is a shortcut on my desktop, as well as through the start menu. The odd thing is that there is no sound at all in OOTP. I've checked game setup and the sound's enabled as well. i tried to uninstall ootp, but under remove programs in my control panel... ootp doesn't exist. I then decided to reinstall the patch, but to no avail.

EDIT: I mean i've successfully have run the patch, but it still does not show up in my control panel.

So now i have this problem with pitching ratings as well as no sound. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you do a complete reformat since your PC crashed? If not there's no telling why these issues are happening and probably the only way to correct them is to reformat and freshly reinstall your OS, etc.

Actually, i'm no the only one having this problem. Apparently there's other people in our league who are having the same problem with the free agents screen.

http://forums.simcentral.net/showthread.php?t=55233

Nobody's made notice of this until the most recent patch.

If you think its a problem with the league file, our league file can be downloaded here:
http://www.bbscleagues.us under current league.

it might be the league file is corrupted if everyone is having the problem in the league. Have you tried another league to see if you have the same problem?

Its most definitely the league file. We recently switched servers and before the switch the league file was okay, its after the switch this change happened.

Perhaps an OOTP tech can take a look at the league file and maybe fix it?

I dont think your going to get any help with that. Do you have a backup from before the transfer you can try to copy agian see if the problem repeats then revert back to that. I dont know how much data you would lose or if thats acceptable to the league owners. Im not sure I would continue to play with that league, its a minor problem now but it may eventually turn into one that is unrecoverable.

I believe it is just the one league file, as I'm in the same one, and am having the same problem, and my computer hasn't crashed or anything in a long time. I'll ask the commish about it when I see him.
