One player head and shoulders above the rest
I've been running a fictional league, starting in 1880. I simmed through the end of the 1999 season and took over a team for the 99/2000 offseason to begin the 2000 season. Anyway, I've spent a lot of time looking over the league history as I did follow the league somewhat as I simmed it.
There is one hitter that stands head and shoulders above the rest in my league. His name was Gregory Foster. Check out that 1970 season. Also check out the career homerun leaderboard. Nobody else even hit 700. He blasts 857. Anyone else seen a true anomaly from the rest of their league? |

Also he had more homers as a rookie than Aaron Judge did this past season in real life. Crazy.

Every so often when I'm in my league I end up looking at this guy's page again. Still can't get over that 1970 season. 14.8 WAR is insane. .421/.471/.841 slash with 66 homers and 147 RBI. Also walked more than he struck out. I've never seen a season like this and this guy truly stood out in the league. No one else really came close to replicating his numbers.
