"Please close out of the park baseball before exiting steam"

So, just ran OOTP through Steam for the first time (I'm on mac osx) and after quitting ootp I cannot quit steam, with steam telling me that it is waiting for ootp to shut down. Looking over the process list I don't see any likely candidates for OOTP, so I'm wondering if there's a file that needs to be cleaned up that wasn't, or what.

I'm not sure how to go forward in resolving this.

Any help?

Have you tried forcing Steam to quit? Or restarting your Mac? (You can force restart your Mac by holding the power button until it shuts down.)

Why run a game through a middle man service?
