Yeah. That might be it, but I'm not creative at all when it comes to creating fake places. LOL

Want to try my Endor League? I have several different quickstarts for it. includes all real nations and about 50 Star Wars/Star Trek nations. I have logos & uniforms for all 35 teams that have existed in my league. facegens for some unique characters. You wouldn;t have to bother with any of the players i created. Check out my dynasty thread. i talk about it a lot.

No thanks. I'll just have to think of a creative set up and then go from there.

Glory to the Glorious Aristrotzkan Baseball League. The most Glorious Baseball League in all of the world.

Glory to Arstotzka.

Seriously, would be kinda fun to set it in some awful distopia, where a day at the ballpark is the only thing to take people's mind off of how awful their life is. So sorta Industrial Revolution America . Just with less robber barons, and more over the top communist overtones.

Nice to see some Culture in baseball land. I agree with Wolf that Phlebas is a rough one. Excession is up there with the best I've read in any genre.

Klew what about trying CephasJames league? Starts in 1871 adds leagues and minor leagues throughout the years and you have tons of uniforms.

Another ideas could be a European nation league those don't get much love like Isreal, Italy, England. There are some nice uniform sets available for those leagues

After having some difficulty with my old laptop a couple years ago I decided to form a more streamlined league. I ended up picking Australia, and it was a real blast learning about the different cities and areas that would become hosts of my fictional teams. I had to research what type of stadiums would be in each area, what team names would be, etc. It was fun having a full country to play host to a league, a lot more fun than having a local league where you have to pretend why the best players aren't playing in some superior league eventually. Eventually my league expanded to include New Zealand, which in real life shares some common leagues and competition with Australia.

It's a fertile ground for a fictional sports league, as there are enough major metropolitan areas to support a small league and they have individual character and rivalries built in. I've never felt more connected to a fully involved fictional league, of which I've made numerous.

The ABL was part of my larger league 2008-2014. Before I folded the league I inducted 3 players into the HOF, all 3 had great seasons in my other leagues. 2015 was the year of the Aussie invasion. I plan on adding the ABL to my World League, whenever I get to it, which will be any league that exists on Earth as of whatever year I get to it.

In my league the foreign signings and things got a little out of wack, so there were a lot more Americans playing in Australia than I would have intended. I justified it in my fictional universe as the Australian market becoming so popular that talented Americans were willing to play there, similar to Europe for hockey and basketball.

I've decided to go with the Midwest Baseball League, based in ND, SD, MN, WI, IA, NE, MO, KS. I have 16 cities for each league narrowed down, but I would like to narrow it down to 8 teams per league. I will then do 2 divisions per league (4 teams per division). Below are the candidates for teams...

Northern League (ND, SD, MN, WI):
Fargo
Bismarck
Grand Forks
Minot
Sioux Falls
Rapid City
Aberdeen
St. Paul
Rochester
Duluth
St. Cloud
Mankato
Madison
Racine
Eau Claire
Green Bay

Southern League (IA, KS, MO, NE):
Des Moines
Cedar Rapids
Davenport
Sioux City
Waterloo
Ames
Wichita
Topeka
Lawrence
Manhattan
Omaha
Lincoln
Kearney
Springfield
Independence
Columbia

A "Midwest" league with no Michigan? I'm a little hurt, frankly.

HAHA. I could include Michigan and Ohio. Here are the two logos that were made for the league(s)...so it could go either way..
