This does actually sound like it's probably harder than you might think.

There's so many scenarios especially if people start doing weird custom playoff formats and you get multiple ties.

Don't know if it's possible to give manual control to us for tiebreakers??
ie let us schedule tiebreaking games and let us control which teams advance to playoffs.

Might make your life easier and keep you sane!!
