I believe build 6.3.53 is correct even though the title of the thread is 6.3.54. If you look at the first line in the actual post, it identifies the build as 6.3.53

I've experienced this as well. AI offered a trade, I played around a bit to see what else could be included (never made an offer though) but when I go back to the initial offer the AI says they can't afford the trade.

It's something that pops up, but to me that's more of a - the GM has realized he's made a mistake and doesn't want to make that move. The AI usually is thinking what it'll need to do if the trade is made. It's why you either accept it or risk the offer disappearing. To me, think of it like Dragon's Den or Shark Tank. The offer is there, but it may soon disappear.

It also prevents gaming the AI by trying to squeeze a little extra out of every trade. You can try to do that, but you risk losing the original deal. If it didn't work that way, it would be logical to go into every trade offer you got and negotiate for more until you found the largest possible amount the AI was willing to give up.

But doesn't that alsoprevent you from working out a trade that will work for you? For example, they ask for Player A, which I'm happy to ditch, but would rather a depth Center instead of the depth Dman their offering. Isn't that how real life offers are made, two GM's discussing how they can make it work?

I have a few problems with AI trade offers

a) I think there's some kind of bug with no-trade clauses, players always accept when there's an AI-trade offer but never the other way in the exact same trade.

b) the AI doesn't even have cap space to do the trade but it works anyway if I just hit accept.

c) I get and agree that you shouldn't be able to exploit the AI but you can go to the "discuss trade" screen, literally do nothing but offer back the exact same offer the AI sent and the AI asks why I offer this bs? The AI shouldn't send me a trade offer when it thinks its own trade offer sucks.
