Does player get free agency after 5 years service
my first season is almost over with and I notice a couple of players have just completed five years of service. It says "possible free agent". But under my team category "possible free agents" they are not listed.
My question is, are players granted free agency after five years? Or is there one more year of arbitration? |

3 service years of automatic resign
3 years of arbitration The only exception is Super 2 status (only after your 2nd season) Out of the Park Baseball Manual If a guy has 5 years + of service but won't hit 6 full years before the season is over (i.e. he was called up midway through the season in his rookie year e.g.) he will still go to arbitration. |
