Error on start of game....help
When I start OOPT15 I get a message saying the program can't write to the disk and that I should re-install.
The game then starts and everything seems to work normally including saving the current game. I am not a computer guy just a baseball guy! Any ideas? |

If you're on Windows, could it be that you're not running the game in admin mode?
Or is your hard drive nearly full? Check those two things -- if the latter, you'll need to delete some stuff or move it to another hard drive. If it's still doing it, you could file a support ticket at support.ootpdevelopments.com |

What you can do is right click ootp's icon on your desktop and select properties. On the properties popup, click advanced and set it to Run as Administrator and click ok. Start ootp and if it no longer gives you the can't write error, then that was your problem.
If you still get the error, you need to check your harddrive for errors. |

You might need to uninstall and reinstall to a custom location. Of course, you'll also have to move all of your saved games to the new location. This almost always resolves this type of problem (but the simpler solution Brad suggested should be tried first since it sometimes works).
So if Brad's suggestion didn't work and you need help with what I suggested, send me a private message and I'll help you there.
