Ugh, feel like I'm 12 again

This is my first ever pre-order and waiting for Friday to arrive I feel like I'm 12 again chasing the UPS truck down the road hoping it will stop at my house and deliver those magic cards shipped out of Glen Head NY. I think the UPS driver in my hood was a little scared of me.

And this is a bad thing?

Only in the sense that it points out how little I have matured over the last 37 years.

That's a good thing, my young friend.

Indeed it's a good thing.

I love how the leaflets...I mean, Road to Release articles just drive the desire for that UPS truck to stop at our house.

I don't know about anyone else, but I will probably be up at 4am local time Friday waiting for the email to download OOTP 15.

Maybe, David, we should find a neutral spot to meet and wait for the release notices over coffee and Egg McMuffins!!

I figure Friday's work day will take forever to get over. Especially, if I see the email early in the day. Maybe I should just avoid checking my inbox.

That's what I did, took off work!

If there is Madden-oliday there needs to be an OOTP-oliday too.

The only question, do I start out trying to fix my slumping Washington Nationals.

Waiting for the UPS truck is the worst. That's why digital downloads is one of the greatest technological advances since the telescope. Near instant gratification. We are truly living in a Golden Age.

I have a vivid childhood memory of desperately waiting for the UPS guy to deliver my desperately awaited copy of Might & Magic II. Remember the dark ages when you couldn't even track your package, and had no idea when it might arrive? That was an exquisite form of anxiety ...and I'll take Steam any day of the week over it now.

Exactly. You had no idea when the Strat O Matic cards would arrive and it was almost guaranteed that the UPS driver would be down your street every day when you were waiting. Seeing him drive on past your house was the worst.

Or work for a Catholic-based institution of higher learning like I do! I love when we're closed on holy holidays!

My company's president is catholic so I have a paid holiday Friday. A nice round of golf in the morning and OOTP15 in the afternoon. Just can't beat it.

Or going to one of those faith-based institutions of higher learning as we have no class on Holy Friday / OOTP Friday.

So good in Germany Friday is a National Holiday like next Monday. Four Days of OotP 15!

United Parcel Service. It's a package delivery company.
