Any announcement on backwards compatibility?
I know that's always been a feature, just wanted to see if anyone knew if that would be the case again this year? I have a league I'm pretty deep into with OOTP14, so I would want to carry it over to 15.

Yep, it's a feature this year. It almost certainly always will be.

Will there be forward compatibility as well, meaning a game I start in 15 can be imported into 14? Or more likely, I game I start in 14, export to 15, then reimport into 14?

Do you work for OOTP and know this as a fact?
I ask because I have a pretty involved dynasty I started in 14 that, for whatever reason, might break in 15. I don't think it will, but I don't know it won't. I just want to know what my options are. |

I wouldn't worry about the EBL breaking. I've had some pretty crazy leagues myself in past years and OOTP's never broken any of them. The league import function works really well. You'll probably want to check all of your settings after import just to make sure they're still right, but other than that you should be good to go. |

I think your option is to back up your OOTP14 file, and hang on tight to it. But also, rest assured, OOTP15, is amazing. |

I'm new. I started OOTP 14 a few months ago and pre-ordered OOTP 15.
If I import OOTP 14, will the new game OOTP 15 (imported from 2014) still use the starting rosters for the MLB? Thanks. |

Any import would be of a league that you've already established in 14. So no, that league wouldn't use the MLB rosters, but any new MLB game you start would use the current rosters. The import only affects a specific league and simply creates a new 15 compatible savegame for that league. Nothing else is changed or affected. |

my guess is that it's a lame joke poking fun at the OP for asking if you can import the season you have in 14 into 15.
yes you can, I would assume you always will be able to each and every season |

Your imported game won't use the 2014 (OOTP 15) rosters. It'll use your orginal imported game rosters. However, you can import them into your imported game or manually move all players so that you can start off the season with the 2014 opening day team rosters.
