Welcome to the World Baseball Federation. My name is Bill Long and I am the commissioner of the WBF. The World Baseball Federation strives to make baseball a world sport that is played all year long on six of the seven continents.

The WBF oversees five baseball organizations, 13 leagues and 122 teams representing their country. All players are compensated by their respective countries and no foreigners are allowed on an active or reserve roster. This is a promotion/relegation dynasty. Each league plays a 100 game schedule with a tournament at the end to determine the WBF champion. We will go over some more rules as we go along.

As commissioner my duties will include making sure all teams are in roster compliance. Approving and announcing any tournaments to be played throughout the year. Keeping and calculating rankings and growing the sport of baseball throughout the world among other duties.

Uniforms and logos that you may see in this dynasty are by txranger, Isedelyod, justafan, phantom player and myself. Sorry if I missed anybody.

BAA A-League - Top 2 teams promoted to the Premiere League. Bottom 2 teams relegated to the B-League.

No problem, glad you can use them. I should be getting this kicked off tonight or over the weekend. Going back and forth on how I want to present it. I think to start I will highlight a different team for a week of playtime and give monthly updates on leagues.

The Africa Baseball Association is the first organization to get started and South Africa will be the first team followed.

If anybody wants to see a team highlighted just let me know and i'll get to them.

No, I was just finalizing it last night getting the coaches and such in place for each team. I can look into making it a quickstart tonight. Not sure how to do that so if someone can steer me in the right direction or post the directions that would be great.

Here's how:

1. Get your league all set up how you like it.

2. Go to "File" in game and select the "Create Quickstart Game" option and follow the prompts.

3. The game will create a file name with a .quick extension. Take this file and upload it online to a storage site. I have used and would recommend mediafire.com (takes an email address and about 5 minutes to create an account)

4. Post the link to your quickstart on the mods forum:

Today is an exciting day at the World Baseball Federation. The opening season gets underway with the Africa Baseball Association. Teams will be battling to take the top spot and be entered into the World Baseball Federation Championship Tournament at the end of the season. Lets take a look at the season predictions:



No surprise, South Africa is the favorite to win it all. Nigeria and Zimbabwe are predicted to be at the bottom and facing relegation down to the A-League. Those are only predictions though and it may play out differently on the diamond. The season gets underway today with all eight teams in action:

Cameroon @ Kenya
Ivory Coast @ South Africa
Tanzania @ Nigeria
Zimbabwe @ Tunisia

This week we will be focusing on the team from South Africa. They play their games in Cape Town at the Sahara Newlands Cricket Grounds.



The South African team leads the way in the league position rankings with 8 out 11 positions being either 1st or 2nd place. The pitching staff is expected to be the strength of the club. One glaring hole is that the South African team doesn't have a true catcher. They are going with 26 year old Richard Newman, a natural first baseman who last played catcher his senior year in high school.

It is an exciting time for the WBF, the Africa Baseball Association and for baseball fans around the world. Play ball!
